Inn On The Lake Wedding Photography - Gillian & Todds Wedding

Inn On The Lake Wedding Photography - Gillian & Todd's Wedding

So what happens when & boy from New Zealand meets a girl from the UK? answer a fab wedding at The Inn on the Lake at Ullswater. The Lake district has to be one of the most beautiful places to visit and we are so glad that Gillian & Todd chose us as their Lake District wedding photographers as its also one of our favourite places. We arrived to see the guys from New Zealand playing errr croquet on the lawns, I suppose its safer than rugby and while Jane captured a few shots of Gillian & the Bridesmaids I joined Todd and his ushers. The weather was perfect for the outdoor ceremony and with views overlooking Lake Ullswater the ceremony was idyllic. The air filled with laughter as the guests drank pimms on the lawns and chatted we slipped of for some photos by the lake, well it would be rude not to. Todd & Gillian are a fun couple and the bridal party were crazy the photos were a joy from start to finish. The speeches started with emotional video messages from Todd's native New Zealand, then a crazy speech from Gillians Dad ending with the usual best man destroys groom speech (I love speeches its such a great part of the day). This was such a relaxing wedding that after the meal guest wandered around the stunning gardens and into the evening reception for a great evening with great dancing (a fab first dance from Todd & Gillian) and if we hadn't been spoiled enough mother nature gave us a grand ending with the most wonderful evening so we grabbed a few shots on the jetty, intact it was worth a few midge bites as the light was perfect & we shot some gorgeous images. What a great end to a great day, hope you enjoy the images. D&J xx A huge thank you to the gorgeous Todd & Gillian and to their family & friends for all their hospitality & laughter, it was a memorable day for us. xx If your getting married at the Inn on the Lake and are looking for an experienced Inn on the Lake wedding photographer then get in touch, its a wonderful venue & we love shooting weddings there. D&J xx

The Lake District on a beautiful summers day is stunning and as we arrived at the Swan Hotel Newby Bridge for Emma & Davids vintage themed wedding we knew we would be in for a great wedding. The Lake District is one of my favourite parts of the world with its stunning venues & amazing views its a joy for wedding photographers.Emma had planned her vintage themed wedding to the smallest detail & as she is starting her own vintage wedding dressing business and she did a perfect job right down to the smallest details. David was also at the hotel so I grabbed a few photographs of him before he left for the majestic Cartmel Priory
David, his bestman & Ushers brought a packed village of Cartmel to a halt
I love this shot that Jane captured of Emma & Her Dad leaving the Hotel... it reminds me of the old Paparazzi style hollywood photographs
A helping hand from Dad

The impressive Cartmel Priory, so much history involved with the ancient building... now with Emma & David's story included
The lighting in the side chapel was gorgeous, the new Mr & Mrs Jones
